Day 94

Today ruined the idea that Oregon was perfectly flat with the level, spongy trail we were promised. We actually had to walk uphill today and there were patches of volcanic rock that bit into your feet. On a positive note, we had two instances of trail magic today. Around lunch time we stopped at an old cabin for water and just as we were about to leave, a couple and their dogs came in with coolers full of soda and snacks. As we walked into our planned campsite there was a woman there with a grill making chili dogs. We talked with her for a while about how hiker season helps her restaurant out so this is her way of paying it forward.

Steps taken today/total: 54,942/3,780,175
Miles walked today/total: 29.10/1,770.89
Elevation gained today/total: 3,287/309,638
Elevation lost today/total: 3,410/318,322
