Today didn't have the volcanic rocks yesterday did, but it presented a new problem. We have encountered blown down trees before but today was on another level with trees across the trail every 50 feet. My long legs helped in stepping over some, but there were some trees other hikers could duck under that forced me to take off my pack so I didn't have to crawl. We climbed at the end of the day and I got potentially my last view of Mt. Shasta, which was first visible almost 500 miles ago.
