We went to Mojave today so we could zero and heal, but this offered a unique opportunity. Tehachapi and Mojave are on opposite sides of the trail and there are two roads the PCT crosses that take you into both, with 8 miles of trail between them. After we checked into the hotel in Mojave, Levi and I took a bus to the trail with a bottle of water and not much else. We slack packed the eight miles southbound and hitched back to our hotel.

ReplyDeleteI was watching a tennis tournament and these ballpeople are just insane. Like have you looked at them? They're so on point, just standing in the corner ready for these balls to roll their way and their eyes are darting everywhere and then they throw the balls at Novak and flatten out their palms to him and it's weird how frantic they are. Just thought of you and the tennis.
