I got into Kennedy Meadows today and ran into Grasshopper again. Kennedy Meadows has a small general store that acts as the jumping off point into the Sierras. It's still hot, but there's more rivers so I won't have to carry as much water, but I added a bear canister for my food, so that adds another two and a half pounds. I also got new shoes! The insoles on my old pair are shot, so the new ones should help with the joint pain going downhill.
