We left Mojave tonight around 5 and got off the bus in the worst wind I've ever seen. As we climbed it steadily got worse, with gusts over 60 miles per hour. About six miles in we found a protected campsite, so we stopped there so we didn't have to hike seven miles along the ridge in the dark.
