I think today was my toughest day yet. The terrain is still as steep and rocky as the JMT was, but instead of having passes separated by long flat meadows, the ups and downs come back to back. In addition to the constant elevation change, there are no natural barriers like the passes, so I have no reason to stop early like we did before. The length of today wore me out so much I settled for an earlier campsite than I was shooting for.
