I left North Kennedy Meadows this morning after a hot breakfast of biscuits and gravy and sending the bear canister home so I was feeling pretty good. The mountains are turning into foothills so after a rocky descent it was smooth sailing. I stopped earlier than normal and met Eric, John and Terrence, three section hikers going from Sonora Pass to Echo Lake. We talked about our hikes and traded stories and food.
